Hi, I am helping a friend out by trying to use ActinicExpress to sell his sweets online.

My problem is this. He has three different weight options for each product. I have set up the radio buttons to reflect these weights but the pricing is very confusing.

It sets each heavier weight as adding price to the original weight ie 200g=1.90 then 300g= +95p instead of the total price of 2.85.

Have I set this up wrongly? Is there an alternative to the radio button pricing system ? Can I have stand alone prices for each of the weights without using the 'Question' function?

Computer is in mid flight out of window at the moment, and said 'friend' is fast coming off the christmas card list....:(

...please help....

many thanks, Jules

Julian,

Can I have stand alone prices for each of the weights without using the 'Question' function?I am not quite sure what you mean here. You use the question field if you want to have a text input box, else it would not appear with the product description.

Have I set this up wrongly? Is there an alternative to the radio button pricing system ?You are doing it right I think, the way it works is like this.. The main product is used as the base price / weight for the product, additions like choices that influence the price are to be put in as additions to the cost. Actinic will work out the correct price on the choice being selected.

Kind regards,

Thanks for the reply...I was about to give up hope!

...but now i really have!

It does sound as if I've signed up to ActinicExpress and it is not going to be able to do what I need it to do! Bit dissapointing really! Not to mention the cost aspect!

The values can not really be entered as seperate items of seperate weight,(therefore price) as that would create an immensely long page of products. So I am a bit of a loss as to where to go from here.

I have one product that needs three different prices for three different weights...and in all over 250 products!

How do i do it?????!!

Jules,

This is not ideal either, but you can enter the item base price as zero, then each option as the actual price. That way you are adding the actual price to the original zero price. This way can look a bit better than say £1.90 plus 95p as in your example.
