Hi all
How do you save a excel xls file to a comma separated txt file (each product need to be on a separate row.

I have fixed the stocktake file EPOS corrupted for me (!) and I now need to save it in the correct and only way EPEOS will read it.

If we had the chance to export and import files (common extensions) we would have 50% of the problems we currently have with this version of EPOS.

Thanks

PS anyone has a 'free' file converter? A visual basic one - ready made!

In Excel choose Save As - then select csv comma separated values from the list of choices.

Hi
Yes, I do know that.

Unfortunately EPOS will not read it within the stocktake window.

That is why I was asking and if I find out I will post it.

If not I can close our shop and go to work for somebody else ;o]

LATEST: thanks to your input it came to me how to do it!
The only thing I did not try!

I have opened the csv file I saved yesterday after I fixed all corrupted records using notepad and saved it as txt file.
Then recalled it with EPOS and although EPOS keeps saying ERROR _ IMPORTING STOCKTAKE FILE and then I clicked OK and got a window with 'Microsoft Access' saying '0' ,
it actually loads it fine!

For now it seems fine!
