Hi,
Does anyone have the link to the program which makes it possible to download orders from an actinic website, without having actinic installed?
I'm sure someone on here is selling it...
Thanks,
Lee
You can set Actinic up to send you a copy of the order confirmation email, which you could then collect on any machine.
We also sell an product that will download orders at timed intervals, and another that can be installed on any machine on the network to view and process orders, the latter program can be used to remotely control the first, so you remotely get Actinic to download orders and then view them. You can find more details on the Mole End website - or email me if you wish to know more.
I guess you could also use a VNC sort of program - PC Anywhere maybe - to connect to the Actinic PC and control it remotely to download and view orders.

Thanks.
I'm wanting to be able to design shops for other people using my copy of actinic on my computer, but to have the client able to download orders, without actinic..
We also sell an product that will download orders at timed intervals
is that this product (http://www.mole-end.biz/acatalog/Multiuser-One-Stop-Order-Processing-For-Actinic.html)?
And if so, is it the one I'd need to enable me to do what I've tried to explain above?
Thanks

the correct licencing to do what you want is to buy designer/developer for yourself and order manager/client catalog for your clients
if you do this with v8 designer is approx £400 and client catalog is £200, costs are different for v7 as the product range was changed for v8.
£200 for client catalog is cheaper for you in the long run otherwise you will constantly be faffing about and wasting time trying to support a sub standatd work around
No, if you are just distributing developed shops to clients to run you need to use the client versions of Actinic for your customers, you can buy those here :
http://www.actinic.co.uk/shop/acatalog/Actinic_Ecommerce_Software.html
it's the last two program, business client and catalog client. So you clients will have Actinic installed on their PCs but it will be a cheaper version that they cannot use to design the store. If you want them to be able to design as well then they need to buy one of the full versions of catalog.

Thanks Pinbrook and Jan.
The client software sounds more like what I need.. I presume that I would need to purchase a seperate copy for each client instead of being able to use the same authorisation code or anything? (I realise that is probably quite a stupid question..)
Does the client have to have designer to run the client version? I clicked on the more info button and saw this:
Please note Actinic Business Client can only be used in conjunction with Actinic Designer, and you will be required to enter a valid Actinic Designer licence key at the next stage.

Client licenses are resold by Designers, so you will need to have a Designer license number to purchase one.

So designer doesn't have to be installed on the computer using client?

you buy "designer" we are talking v8 here (this thread in is v7 sub forum) additionally you buy client copys for each client.
Thus you design a store and release it to your client with client catalog/business (your client can only download orders and update products).
in designer you design and add products (you can not download orders)
