New user registration with ASP

I am very new to Actinic and so have a question or two for now. Is it possible to allow automatic registration of new customers without them having to go through the process of 'pretending' to buy a product from the list and then having to click on 'Checkout now'. would creating an ASP page elsewhere in the site allow this to opperate as a work around? or am i better sticking to actinics solution for this.

Hope someone can shed some light on this matter.

Hi Dan

The details for customer accounts are held in the offline database, so unfortunately a customer cannot register online in real time.

You can make the process simpler by giving the registration product £0.00 price, making sure that shipping is nil and that the payment pages aren't needed.
