I know 8.5 is desirable, but it's getting hard to track down.

However, what vertions use the same file format? I might be able to track down a second-hand version, say version 7. Would that still work?

Version 7 would not be able to open the Actinic reports as the internal format is different however if created reports from scratch with it them they would work.
