The inclusion of an automated command line launcher when Actinic crashes and refuses to launch via standard Windows icons. Not all users will recall the halcyon days of DOS (memories of cd.. thankfully run strong)

Good suggestion John - there may be a way to include these in the 'Actinic' programs group on the Start menu.

A question at startup, prior to db load, asking what site to launch if multisite would be great.

Or a little dropdown box on the login screen.

I don't think this made the cut - could it be bumped again ... especially with the launch of not-entirely-stable new product releases.

Which area are you the MP for? You have the knack lol, you drive the knife in, yet still manage to smile and give them a little hug on the way.

LOL... it's my ever-cheery demeanor tempering the will to set fire to the hard drive with 5 litres of Belarussian vodka and a flare gun

PMSL, save the vodka dude, just use the flare gun. I'm just about to load up V9 for the first time, wish me luck and send that vodka over.

Best of British to you. Remember....
1. it is NOT personal
2. it happens to all levels of Actinic user experience.
3. v10 is on the boards
4. there is no "m" so you can't RTFM

AARRGGHH! It's 3.20am and the b*gg*r won't open....
Without it opening, you can't look in 'Help' and I'm 25 miles away from another copy. It just 'closed' after an upload.....
OK, fixed it with a reboot. And more coffee.

At the risk of weakening this important request you can open the .CHM files in the Actinic folder.

you can open the .CHM files in the Actinic folder.
So you can! To clarify for anybody looking the folder referred to is the one in Program Files.
Re. the new moderator's plans, one comes to this thread seeking 'Command Line Launch' due to the excellent thread title, but it isn't actually in here!
Start | Run
C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Catalog.exe /s "Site1"
The problem is also solved elsewhere: Add Desktop Icons pointing to this target, with multi-user have one for each site - very useful in an emergency.
