loading java applet failed

I have a client site using inbuilt encryption, on reaching checkout where the java applet is supposed to be there is a blank box, in the status bar we see the message "loading java applet failed"

any ideas please

I never use the inbuilt encription as it depends on user browser settings if it works or not. Its useful as a starter option but I would not use it as a main payment method.

Jo,

Does the user have the Java Platform installed on their system. If they do, you can access the java control panel from the Windows Control Panel area and check to see if the platform is running or not.
