Google Analytics

I would like to use google analytics in my express shop.

I had created a new product and added the html code in the description box and made it invisible to the public.

Unfortunatey this is not working, can anybody suggest what i may be doing wrong??

Analytics needs the tracking code to be inserted on every page. This is normally done by inerting it into the design template - including it in a hidden products will not work as you have found out.

I have not worked with Express so cannot give any specifics.

Am checking this with development. As Malcolm states the usual practice is to insert the code supplied into the template, but you have no direct access to this in express.

At present there is no support for Google Analytics in Express so you will not be able to use it on your express store. I will add another vote to the wish list for you.

Can you add fragments in Express? - if you can then you should be able to add a text only fragment with the code to each page.
