cant duplicate certain products, error code look in!

"an error occurred preparing a product for creation string data right truncated"

i am getting this error when trying to duplicate certain products within actinic, has anyone any ideas how i can resolve this?

Hi,

Product references can only be 20 characters long. When you duplicate a product extra characters are added to the reference number - a number for the instance of the duplicate and an exclamation mark, (eg, 1!12345) and those extra characters are taken into account, so if you have product references that are 19 or 20 characters long, duplicating them will make them 21 or 22 characters long which is not allowed. If you duplicate a product more than 9 times then you will only be able to use references up to 17 characters etc.
