copy customvars to different site

Is this possible ?

I have some customvars on my "main" site, which I assign to various products.
I wanted to cut and paste these products into different sites which is ok, but when I check the customvars some are missing ?

I have ensured that all the customvars are IDENTICAL in all sites, and also that they are in the same position. The parent layouts etc are also the same.

Can anyone help please ?

Perhaps try exporting, deleting the bits you don't want, and then importing into the other site.
