View Full Version : Trials.actinic upload issues...

I am running a copy of developer (7.0.6.0.0.0.GBGA) and have a problem trying to upload to the test space.

It was going okay until my trial ran out. I setup a new one, but the timer comes on - and nothing happens. I can flick around actinic without being stopped.

I cannot find any relevant info on this, so any ideas gratefully received.

Also, I ran a diagnostic and got the following...

I'm not a techie, do these mean I have other problems?

which trial ran out... 30 day software or 30 day hosting?

if its software then completely uninstall the software and reinstall - take backups/snapshots of any data you want to keep first.

Hi, sorry - didn't make myself clear -

The trials.actinic.com 30 day hosting ran out. I setup another, and the software no longer uploads - it just looks like it is doing something, but isn't.

Egg timer comes on, but last night I left it for two hours and nothing happened. Strange because it was working fine before.

Check in 'Housekeeping | Security' if you have a username and password entered and if they are the ones for the last trial, if they are replace with the ones foe the new trial and then upload will work.

Thanks for that - I will go have a look and see if it works...

Should I be worried by the messages I got back from the check that I ran?

I have tried what Bruce suggested but the details were correct. Still unable to upload to the trial space.

Any suggestions?

It looks like the installation was not done properly. If you have worked on a site, I would suggest making a snapshot of the site and then uninstall Actinic. Make sure to delete the folder from within 'C:\Program Files\Actinic.. '. Reinstall the software and then import the snapshot you saved.
