New to Actinic....HELP!!!

Hi there,

I'm new to Actinic Express and I'm trying to build a store to sell children's educational products.
After using it for a while I can see it's quite limited to how much you can change the look and feel.

However I do have a few questions I would like to ask coz I'm completely lost....:(

1. Can you write text in a foreign language (i.e. in the description box)?
- I tried doing this but all I got was numbers and symbols.

2. Is there a program (for us with no html/flash knowledge) to create an animated header for the top part of the page with our logo? And what size should the header be?

3. I don't understand how to add a 'click to enlarge' link next to the image in the product page.

4. When the cursor/pointer goes over an image it displays it's file name, can you change it? For example an image of a dictionary will be displayed as collins.jpg instead of Collins Dictionary.

Any help would be very much appreciated.:)

I can't help with 1 and 2. But to answer 3, you just have to add a bigger picture to the product (so you will have 2 pictures) and the "click to enlarge" will appear automatically under the small image as if by magic. I know Express is limited and aspects of it annoy me sometimes but it is this kind of thing that I love about it!
As for 4, I am pretty sure you can't.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to add an image to the top of my website home page? Mariosj has asked the question above (question 2) and i haven't been able to find an answer?

Also i don't seem to be able to give my customers the option of more than one postage method, as i can only allocate one type of postage to the uk. Am i doing something wrong?

As Bruce says call Actinic and they will help you direct - thats what you are paying for.

In reply to adding an image to the top of the page. Click the 'design' tab then 'themes' and finally at the bottom of this page says 'corporate logo'
click to browse find your own logo and click 'apply' if this has been already said i apologise!:)

This in the express forum which is a completely different piece of software to catalog.as the system is subscription based user have dedicated teephone support which is why it's sways best to talk direct to actinic about express
