Have we still got no way of looking at visitor logs to find out where visitors are coming from ? can we not see which pages people visit ? and which pages users are leaving from ? Even if we could somehow just add some html for basic free info from another supplier

Visitor stats are normally provided by your host, not actinic software

Even if we could somehow just add some html for basic free info from another supplier This has been discussed before if you do a search and I think it was placed on the Express wishlist to enable Google Analytics. As jo says yor host should provide most of this info

Sadly Jo didn't look at the thread this post was in. :( Therefore didn't realise it was Express and thus hosted by Actinic.

So as a footnote - if you host any other flavour of Actinic you would expect stats to be part of your hosting package.

I don't know what stats come within Actinic hosting

I don't know what stats come within Actinic hosting Nor do I so I would be interested to know - perhaps someone using express could let us know.

Thanks for your answers and maybe I should have made the question a little clearer - for my other domains I am able to check the stats from my host but with this site I ordered the domain through Actinic for use as an Express site.

I would not have thought it difficult to allow Express users to view their logs but I just can't find details anywhere. I did find a post from Dec 2006 saying they may offer Express stats in a future release so there may be hope.

From the answers given it looks like I would be best giving helpdesk a call.

Thanks for your help.

Hi RuralWeb - just letting you know what support had to say..

I was told to just add a piece of HTML into Express which I could google for site stats. Knowing the answer already, I asked "How do you add HTML into Express?" - it took a while for support to have a look around and come back with "Oh, you can't add HTML into Express"

was then told that they were looking at it for a future release...

Thanks - that was the answer last time as well.

You can use a redirecter page to coillect site stats (see below), although on Malcolm's advice I did stop this auto-redirecting.
