Amazon buy DPreview

This is a strange one for me. Amazon have bought DPreview (a digital camera review site) that I'm a regular visitor to.

I'm not sure I can see the logic behind the purchase. Are Amazon looking to add quality / semi-independent reviews to their products as a way of boosting customer confidence? or is it just a way of driving more customers to their site?

I think they see it as a cheap way to get 7million uniques a month, watch out for the Amazon ads and links to start appearing!
