Hi guys,

We've got a major exhibition coming up where we plan on taking lots of photos to show our participation.
However how do you get all the photos you want on one page?
I can't use hyperlinks because I don't use a host server, so can anyone suggest another way?

would photobucket be of any use?

Thanks Mary.

I checked out their website, but I dunno if it's what I had in mind.

I just wish Actinic could allow you to display 1 page with as many photos as you like.

Is it possible to hard code images with Express? Never used the product so not sure what is available edit wise.

Not possible to hard code images into the description area etc like catalog. I will add this to the wish list for you.

Kind regards,

What upgrade are you talking about Lee? (does this guy know we're talking about Express?)

Hey Bruce, that wish list of yours seems to be getting bigger and bigger.

Hmmm, now lemme see what else we could add onto it.......;)

No but seriously, when do you actually expect to implement the changes? When is the next upgrade due?

What upgrade are you talking about Lee?

I think Lee is suggesting an upgrade from the web based Express version to the stand alone full version which allows greater freedom to change layouts and tweak as you require.

Hi,

There is a workaround to get this to work for you. You will have to upload the images you wish to use, the way to do this is to create a product and assign it an image and upload, then hide the product on the site. You can then use the link to the product image to display it within the description area of another product / section..

You can see a very basic example on a trial site here. (http://shop1.actinicexpress.co.uk/shops/Bruce/index.php)

You can copy the link to an image on your express store and then within the description area paste the link between full path to image

like this:
[ img ] http://shop1.actinicexpress.co.uk/shops/YOURSHOPNAME/images/catalog/x-boots.gif[ /img ] remove the extra spacing between the bracket and 'img' etc, was done to prevent the forum mangling the display.

Hope that helps.
