Offer discounts

We are using V5
Is it possible to give customers discount codes that they could use on checkout,

Example: we mailshot customers and give them a unique code and they will receive a % discount when they add the code on checkout, does anyone already do this?

Can i purchase a plugin to allow this?

Hi guys

Actinic is currently developing further discounting features for v7 (further info here (http://www.actinic.co.uk/news/030804.htm)). However, if you are using Business you could set up a generic login for reduced prices and use this login for the promotion. It means that customers would have to enter promotion details at the beginning of their shopping experience rather than at the checkout, but it would work.

Set up a customer account with generic info in the address fields. You can set the options to allow users to enter their own address, but to remove the panel that displays the generic address in the checkout, open Act_Order01.html and comment out all code between
