Hi there,
I know i read it somewhere but can't find it now, how to have your own icon show when someone bookmarks your page.
I know it has to be 16 x 16 but where do i need to put the icon and what is the exact name for it?
Cheers and thanks,
Jacy

one way is to go to www.irfanview.com and download their picture editor.
then, when you have a 16x16 pixel gif, bitmap, jpg, png or something that you wish to use as your favourites icon, open it up with irfan, and 'save as' a .ico file (windows icon file)
upload to your root webfolder and away you go...
there may be better ways but your post (thanks) made me do a simple one for my own website and the info i found out how to do it was at http://www.webdevelopersjournal.com/articles/favicon.html
on that page it explains how to also have different favourite icons for different pages/sections.
hope this helps..

HaHa I tried to create a small version of my section buttons as a fave icon but it was fuzzy and had black around it so i'm trying again now :D
All will be revealed soon...watch this space :p

If anyone else is interested, there's a free online icon editor here...
http://www.favicon.co.uk/
Make up an icon, save it to your hard-drive then all you do is upload to your site root folder. Its as simple as that.
George.

Hi
This is a niggle that I can't sort out. I've added a bookmark icon to the catalog pages successfully but can't get it to work on the homepage. I've edited the brochure primary template and can see the code in the home page html but it doesn't work. I've tried moving the link ref code around in the Head tag but doesn't help.
Here's the header code taken from the live homepage:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"><HTML><HEAD><TITLE>Chillout Games New and used Playstation Games and Ps2 Games</TITLE> <META NAME="Keywords" CONTENT="Playstation Games,Games Playstation, psx,ps2,chillout games,chilloutgames,chilloutgames.co.uk,www.chilloutgames.co.uk,Used Playstation,Used Ps2,used, used games, Playstation Console,Ps2 Console"><META NAME="Description" CONTENT="Chillout Games Playstation and Ps2 Games used and new, popular and rare"><META NAME="ActinicKey" CONTENT="8ba7a7b9ad7a44046266e5538e3b598e0"><META NAME="Generator" CONTENT="accxecom7"><Actinic:BASEHREF VALUE="http://www.chilloutgames.co.uk/" FORCED=1/><META NAME="ACTINICTITLE" CONTENT="NETQUOTEVAR:PAGEHEADER"><META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <LINK REL=STYLESHEET HREF="acatalog/actinic.css"><SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript" SRC="acatalog/actiniccore.js" TYPE="text/javascript"></SCRIPT><link rel="shortcut icon" href="Chillout_Games.ico" ></HEAD>
