View Full Version : Status sticks as Cart after PayPal checkout

A client's site uses PayPal. Customer payments are processed OK and the Payment Status Code is showing as received after the transaction. However, the order status remains on Cart, rather than moving through to Pending. Consequently the customer does not receive the auto order confirmation, which is also set to notify the client of a new order.

I'm wondering if this is at all linked to a recent PayPal change as discussed in:

or due to the customer perhaps NOT choosing to return to the store from the PayPal processing page?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Thanks, but this link refers to use of PayPal Pro - I should have made clear that the affected site is using PayPal Website Payments Standard.

Thanks for that, but this site is operating via Actinic Express where, of course, there isn't access to the Actinic code.

Testing has confirmed that the behaviour occurs when the customer doesn't allow PayPal to redirect to the store - allow PayPal to do the auto-redirect and things are just dandy!
