i keep getting logged out whilst writing a reply

is this happening to anyone else.

I'm logged it, maybe spend 10-20 mins to finalise a reply - ie get distracted, phone calls etc.

Come back hit send, and then get returned to a page where it says i've followed an invalid thread, asks me to log back in, BUT the post has been accepted

Yes this happened to me today twice - I thought the thread had been deleted at first. I didn't get logged out - just told me the thread didn't exist.

it has started to happen more frequently of late.... but not just today

Hi Jo

There is an inactivity timeout on the which will mark all threads as 'read' every 15 mins - effectively re-setting your 'last visited' time. Do you think this might be what's causing the problem? If you just respond to 'new threads' it could be that by the time you get to clicking 'Send', the thread isn't seen as 'new' any more.
