copy of order by email

i have set up to receive a copy of my customers orders to be sent to another email address.

copies of orders are not received for 2 out of every 5 orders!

the copy emails are being sent to a hotmail account so there but there shouldn't be a problem with this should there?!?

There shouldn't be a problem with hotmail addresses - but if you have an alternative address to use, it may be worth changing it to see what happens. It could be that hotmail's spam filters kill some of the messages as they have been generated online rather than by a mail program.

You may also want to check with your web host to see whether they have any relaying rules to do with hotmail addresses. Also check whether they require SMTP authorisation - i.e. whether you need to be connected via a dial-up connection in order for your SMTP server to send emails.
