Hi,

This is probably beginners stuff (still got me flummoxed tho!)

I want to have a description near the top of a page introducing the products below it - however in this example:
http://www.theglowcompany.co.uk/acatalog/Party_products.html

However, the products are 'product sections' leading to different quantities of that product and it pushes my description (a product) to the bottom.

Please have a look at the above link & you will see what I mean.

Any help will be very appreciated as this happens a number of times through my site.

Thanks

In the software itself, you just need to drag and drop the product to the top of the section. Whenever you create another product, make sure the description product is highlighted, and the new product should be created below it.

Steve,

No this does not work - this is the dilema. A product cannot sit above a product section

Anybody?

Oh yes it can, you just need to switch off the sections at the top and use the ones at the bottom.

You need to use a section for the description of the products rather than a product. Products are always listed below the sections, so using a product will move it to the end. Take a look at http://www.mole-end.biz/acatalog/Actinic_Batch_Order_Processors.html, I have a section with a general description and pricing details and then my product sections' follow. I have repeated the information as a product within the section to avoid taking people through to an empty section.

Steve can you explain that some more?

Jan, thanks - is this the only way within actinic without getting involved with the html to have a heading & write a description with product sections below?

Your solution is possible but it can lead people away from where you are trying to point them & is a bit sort of messy - no offence!! :o)

In - Design - Options - miscellaneous. there is a section of the page called - location and arrangement of section lists (or something similar), you can select whether to display the section lists at the top of the page, bottom, both or none.

If you select bottom, then on a page with no products it will look identical, but on a page with products it will display the list of sections below them.
