View Full Version : strikethrough doesn't look right

I've introduced a new variable for RRP which I'm playing with at the minute.
I've done a strikethrough for the RRP which works HERE (http://www.budget-bumps.co.uk/acatalog/Maternity-Summer-Specials.html#aMC_2dBLK_2dDress)
Thing is..the strikethrough looks a bit offset...too low.
I expected it to strikethrough the middle of the price but, for some reason, it doesn't.
Does anyone know why that might be?
Thanks :)

Central for me, although it looks crap i must say, come on bumpsy get it together. Does this (http://www.modelrailwaysdirect.co.uk/acatalog/Hornby-R4273.html) one look offset to you? If so, its your browser.

ooh..on closer inspection...it doesn't look right in Firefox...but it looks fine in IE7
Bit unhelpful really..but an added observation

yes, Lee...it does (and I'd just figured it was Firefox doing it)
and I know..i know.. I'm not even entirely sure I'm keeping the RRP at all, might just stick to stating it in the description
If I'm honest, I was just bored of entering related products and wanting to do something less monotonous :D

Much like the marquee tag, it isn't even proper html bumpsy, get rid of it at once!

Much like the marquee tag
even I wouldn't go that far :D
I just wanted a way of displaying the rrp more conspicuously than just entering it in the description in preparation for the arrival of a secret stash I have coming soon ;)
I think I'll go back to my related products

You can say SALE like MFI or DFS.
Or you can say 'sale', it means the same - get it quietly and just put it in normal text.
RRP is the biggest farce ever, although some people are taken in by it, so it has it's place admittedly. I much prefer 'Our Normal Price', far more weight IMO.

well ok...it's not an RRP really...it's a tag price...like it says :p
Basically I'm saying "Mothercare were selling it in their stores for £X, I'm selling it for £Y"
I get that the red is an eyesore... point taken :o
Design really aint my thing :D
