Sort Payment Method order?

I am finalising the payment methods to be used on our site, and I have created one called "Cheque prior to dispatch" and used the "Cheque on delivery option" under the payment method dropdown.

The only other method we shall use is "credit card", which will be the preferred method. However, the "Cheque prior to dispatch" method come up as the default, can I change this?

I have altered the order of the shipping classes as per Ben's
thread (http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3032) and wonder if there is a similar option for the payment methods?

Hopefully someone will have the answer!

Yes, there are arrow buttons on view/business settings/payment and security that allow you to reorder the payment methods.

I had them in the correct order under "view/business settings/payment and security" and they were displayed correctly in the dropdown, but the wrong was selected as the default.

However, you made me think again, so I decided to clear all cookies, temp and history files of the computer and it now seems to pick the first on in the list as the default.

So, I think you should get the credit for making me think again. What I hadn't realised was that having the tickbox ticked to remember the customer also seems remember your payment method.
