please help
i have upgraded my site to v.8.5.1 and uploaded all looks ok until i go to checkout when this error message comes up can you advise me what i should do please.

Error: Error executing the advanced shipping plug-in script. Global symbol "$DefaultWeight" requires explicit package name at (eval 40) line 506. Global symbol "$DefaultWeight" requires explicit package name at (eval 40) line 787. Global symbol "$sOptimalWeight" requires explicit package name at (eval 40) line 790. Global symbol "$sOptimalWeight" requires explicit package name at (eval 40) line 791. Global symbol "$sOptimalWeight" requires explicit package name at (eval 40) line 814. Global symbol "$sOptimalWeight" requires explicit package name at (eval 40) line 815. Global symbol "$sOptimalWeight" requires explicit package name at (eval 40) line 817. compact the database (shipping)

if that doesn't work, remove all the shipping set up your done and reapply it bit by bit so you can see when the problem is introduced

thanks i will try this
i think it must have something to do with the fact i have set up shipping categories.
do you think so?

I don't honestly know, I can't see your shipping tables to know what you've done.

It could be an upgrading issue, as shipping has been heavily modified in the 8.5.1 upgrade, or it could be something you've done.

If i were in your position I'd scap my tables and start again

i have done all you have said and refreshed but it is still the same.
i hav not upfraded from another actinic version just updated my site with new products.
my website is www.petsinparadise.co.uk have a look and see what you think
i have taken off the shipping categories for now so all the shipping is the same at the moment it is when you go to checkout you get the problems
try it and see please.

From other responses to this problem (such as http://community.actinic.com/showpost.php?p=150991&postcount=9), I would recommend making a snapshot, saved off somewhere safe, then uninstall and re-install Actinic.

Make sure you delete all the Actinic v8 folders/content left over in Program Files after the uninstall, and do a reboot before you begin the re-installation.

Then import your snapshot, and hopefully your problem will be gone.

im not sure how to do this ill have to get some help i dont want to mess up
this is a brand new build so i dont see why this has happenned at all

ive sorted out simple really i went to troubleshooting and did a purge and refresh.
that easy!!
