I have now been coding in Actinic 12 hours today already .. still the evening and night shift to look forward to ... to add to the pressure I now have a cat on my knee and 3 transformers in various states of "transformation" being assembled on my desk!! I can hear the Lego in the background gearing up for Armageddon.

What external nuisances does everyone else have to tolerate or are you working in Zen?

Nuisances is a strong word, i prefer the word distractions:

A wife off work
A 4 week old baby
The sun is shining
4 cats banned from half of the house

Having said that sometimes the distractions work to your advantage. Wife went off for blood tests today, so daddy was left home alone with some expressed milk. Fed him half of it, falling asleep, nappy change time to wake him up again. Into the kitchen i go and woohoo Debbie is back, just in time for the crappy nappy change. "I'll pack the shopping away dear, your son has missed you". Phew got out of that one, it looks a baddun.

Off she toddles and i hear a few yelps of OMG etc etc. and with his nappy off he has managed to crap all over his mat, the towel, his moms leg and worst of all there is the biggest smudge of shit on the carpet i've ever seen, i'm sure i don't let rip with that amount, it was incredible.

I get the new outfit, towel, kitchen roll etc and i'm just pissing myself laffing really, had she been 5 minutes later, i'm sure i'd have been writing Sods Law IV. Anyway after most things are cleaned up i am left with vax and the splodge on the carpet, which is the one thing i do not mind doing.

Good on ya son, made me laff anyway!

Right - I need to get Mrs Jont to track down someone who can disprove that :)

I have to remember not to sit on my cat, she has a habit of jumping onto my black chair whenever I leave it (unless it's around 1:45 when she goes to sit on Louise's chair ready for Louise arriving at work), as my cat is black she is easy to miss and has been sat on a few times now. That is quite distracting. Then there is the matter of customers ... (not that they take my chair but the phone is distracting sometime, a welcome distraction sometimes)

I couldn't agree more!
I completed the 10-step CS detox program last year.

It's tough Gabriel, but admitting you have a problem is the first step.;)
