location of acatalog folder..

Finally got hosting sorted out (see previous post) but now I have a different problem.

The site will upload perfectly if the "path to catalog from cgi-bin" is left blank.

If I put in "../acatalog" then the upload fails..

The blank option leaves me with a fully working shop just that the acatalog folder is located within the cgi-bin folder which I believe may be a security concern????

Any ideas?

hmmm.... I tried changing it to "../acatalog" again and ran the test.... failed as before...

Then (for a laugh) I tried uploading the catalog and it worked fine!!!
