Looking through the forum, a lot of work has been done to provide answers some by Actinic and a lot by helpfull readers.
Unfortunatly once the forum gets a few pages onwards, then most new readers will not realise the question has been asked before.
Could Actinic select the more universal questions and answers and publish them on a 1 or 2 month interval to all in the forum, or even better include them in the software help files
I do realise that most problems are one offs and would not come under this suggestion.

All people used to using forums tend to use the search facility to see if a question has been asked before posting the same question again.
This should be adequate

I understand you answer but items like thread " PRODUCT LAYOUT" the working answer to the problem should be in Actinic Help files available to all quickly and not just Forum members.
In 2 yesrs time what key words would you use to search this forum to find this answer and will the answer still be on the files or cleared off due to space limitations on the forum

Chris
There used to be a searchable knowledge base on the actinic web site. Is there any chance of this coming back because it was very useful.

This will coming back very shortly. It has been updated and revised and is in good shape.
Look out for a posting about it in the next week or so.

Did you find out about sticky messages?

Sometimes the originators of a thread don't describe their problem very well.
How about a very simple single line index that describes the problem / solution in a meaningful way and has link to the approriate thread.
You could also have several descriptions pointing to the same thread, if it touched on more than one topic.

Not yet. There does not seem to be away to do it automatically. I am investigating ways to semi-automate it.
