Index of /acatalog/ fault with Actinic

Dear all,

We are having a minor (possibly major) problem with Actinic Catalog v6.1.3. The site is currently undergoing testing before release.

The rest of the site is working fine, except when credit card details are entered and then the receipt page comes up. You then click "Done" and instead of being returned to the store, it dumps you into a HTML page (directory listing) as show below....

The same issue does not occur if the tester chooses the option to "Send Credit Card details later" as this seems to work fine and has generally been the option chosen during initial testing.

The following are further details that may help.

1) The system is not using a Payment Gateway
2) No specialised templates are being used, no program changes have been made.
3) We are using GST/VAT (shouldn't matter anyhow)
4) The ISP we are using, supports all options and tests ok using the Actinic configuration tool
5) We are not currently using SSL, and are testing using the Actinic Credit Card Applet.
6) All email functions work fine (e.g. customer and vendor) receives emails

Any assistance with this issue is appreciated.

Hi there.

What happens if you go to Design | Options | Site Defaults and change the base page name to index.html then upload your site.

Please note if you have manually uploaded a file called index.html into the acatalog folder this will be overwritten.

Could you post your website URL please.

Hi Darren,

sorry I pop up like this, but I had another problem and was suggested to contact someone from Actinic. It is described in the thread "Add Fields to checkout Pages".
We are testing Developer 6 and if this can work THEN we would buy the License (it is very important option because of Germany, where we reside).

THanks for the posting, but if you want to contact Actinic directly, then you should really register an email support query HERE (http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm).

The forum is for asking questions to the whole Actinic user base. Actinic will normally only step in when a problem has gone unanswered for more than two working days.

Thank you very much for your reply. This has corrected the issue, and have tested it successfully.

The site default was changed at the start, when the product gave me a warning that any file named Index.html, would be overwritten. From what I remember, it didn't specify that the Index.html in the /acatalog directory, so naturally I took steps to make sure that the name was different.

I had forgotten this, or overlooked it looking for a much larger problem.

After working with several e-commerce solutions, this product is fast becoming the main product that I will be suggesting to clients. I hope the quality of the support and the product are maintained.
