View Full Version : Upload error ... site won't upload

I have had to move my installation of Actinic Business from one server to another with my host.

The DNS was switched yesterday and appears to have propogated.

I tried to upload Actinic Business this morning. I don't want the brochure home page to be my website's index page so I chose not to overwrite the existing index.html file.

But at that point I get and error message saying 'An error occurred while merging files on the remote site <html><head><title>Web site under construction</title> .... etc.
So it's obviously having a problem with the default host 404 not found page. But I did'nt seem to have this problem before with the same host.

Please could you help asap .. my site is live, but obviously not functioning as a shop until I can get the cart up and running again.

Did you change the network setup in Actinic?

Well, according to my hosts the username, password, and ftp host details are the same ... even though it's on a new server.

Do I need to run the Network Configuration Wizard again.

I did try the 'Test' in the Network Setup panel and it seemed to be ok.

Thanks for the help. I'd also lodged a support query by email.

Turns out that what I need to do was run Web|Refresh Web Site. That did the trick, but thanks a million anyway for your swift helpful reply. I certainly needed it this morning :eek:
