Install CD over demo version

Having downloaded a demo copy and built a store, I have now licensed a copy of Actinic. Is there any benefit in installing the contents of the CD over my demo copy? If so what are the main differences and will it interfere with the store I have built.

So far I have just entered the license key in my demo copy.

all you need to do is enter the license key.

I ask the question because the Advanced User Guide says that HTML template originals can be restored form the 'Original' directory. My installation has no HTML templates in the 'Original' directory - and I thought that was because I have the demo copy installed.

In the meantime I will copy the templates from site1 to 'originals'

Please could you tell me what page you found that in the advance user guide.

The backup htmls files would be in the Theme folder, here is the location:

C:\Program Files\Actinic Ecommerce v6\Formats\Themes

Here you will see all folders which have the backup html themes.

The original folder should just have:
1. All perlscripts (.pl and .pm)
2. Both Default store Databases (ActinicCatalog.mdb and simpleshipping.mdb)
3. The default store pictures (.gif and .jpg)
4. Sample Files for importing

Please note the simpleshipping.mdb is in a folder called ShipControl inside the original folder

The Advanced User Guide refere to restoring form the 'Original' directory on page 16, after a list of the key templates.
