View Full Version : Payment Gateway processing in a frame?

As you go through the checkout process I can control the look and feel through Order00, order01 etc. to ensure the branding is consistent. But then you go off to the PSP, in my case PROTX, and the look and feel goes out of the window.

So, is it possible to either alter the look and feel of the PROTX interface OR embed this within a frame, iframe or something like that within my own page ?

Any help gratefully accepted.

Thanks

Hi David

This is a question for Protx. The shopper is passed to the Protx site for credit card processing so the template for the page is generated by Protx. There are some PSPs e.g. WorldPay that allow the merchant to customise the template for this page, so it would be worth finding out if this is a service that Protx offer.

I understand your point about PROTX allowing tailoring of their web pages, I will pursue that with them, but what I was trying to ask was whther my second suggestion would work.

i.e. is it possible to put the payment authentication within a page or template on my web site?

Any ideas ?

If your catalog and checkout uses frames, then the Protx page will be loaded in the main frame, but you would lose the SSL golden padlock in the browser (would also happen if you used an iframe).

I would say it's more important to display the padlock than keep the design consistent, and the padlock will only be displayed if the secure page is generated in the whole window. So your best bet is to approach Protx regarding template customisation.
