The Lemon Tree (Aberdeen) has been closed down by the council. Apparently its been making a loss for some time and they cannot subsidise it anymore.


Possibly my favourite ever venue.... fact.

After spending many years in the Oil Industry all I can say is it's a pity they didn't close down Aberdeen as well, ruined what was a nice city in the early 1970's

If they did that then what would happen to all the towns that cheer themselves up by comparing themselves to Aberdeen by saying "at least we're no' as bad as Aberdeen!"

Oi! Leave Aberdeen alone.

It may not be as quiet and insular as it was before the oil boom, but it's still a nice place.

Poor Mr Trump and his fellow countrymen struggle with this though :rolleyes:

Perhaps we should make investment in the Lemon Tree a condition to the Trump golf course?
