I am trying to find the way how to make easy for my client to update his catalog.
He build up his online store with thousands of products and all his images are outside of Site1 folder. I know it's easy for him to have one place where will link all images from, but what about link problems when we move snapshots to each other. All those images end up in NOT_CATALOG folder and that causes as lots of troubles. Do I really have to advice him to store all his images in Site 1 folder where all other data are stored too? It can look scary for him, not to mention that he can easily delete some of them...

That would be ny recommendation - much less hassle. Why should he be more likely to delete thenm from there?

Not images, but other important data along images that he could accidentally delete as far as I know his computer skills :)

you just need to make sure there is a robust backup routine in place so if important data is deleted you will be able to restore it from a backup

Don't put images into Site1. Make a sub-folder of of Site1 called images and put them there. You could make a link to this folder on the users desktop so they'd never have to fiddle about in the Actinic installation tree.

Exactly - and within Images you can have sub-folders to assist with sorting/finding images of related products, when you have a lot of them.
