'1241240' in my qty fields

Anybdy an idea whats happening here, recent hardware failure forced me to reinstall Developer v6.1.3, refreshed only to find all my qty fields pre-populated with the above value.

Tried Design>Text>Restore all Defaults no luck. Ditched all .fil and .cat files and refreshed no luck.

Looked in the .mdb file to see what values were in the databse for the dafault qty's etc as reported by the software they were 1 and 0 so where is the value coming from?

You need to change prompt 2173 in 'Design | Text' to read:

%s<INPUT TYPE=text NAME="%s" SIZE="4" VALUE="%d">

Use 'go to' to find the correct prompt.
