Odd search problem

Hi all,

Noticed an odd quirk when using the quick and full search features... I can enter in search and it matches the item and on another it won't, noticed though it trips up on products containing "." or "/" - is the search function limted to alphanumeric only and if so is there a way around this?

If you go into View | Search settings, you will find a tab that provides a list of exclused search terms, i.e. things that are ignored by the search routines..

Using this cuts down on what search terms are used to conduct the search on your sites indexes, which speeds things up. for example all of the 'and or' sort of expressions plus hundreds more....
