I am in urgent need of help. Our customers have been unable to order all day; when items are in the basket and they proceed to checkout IE displays a " site might be experiencing problems" error message and that's that.

I have search the Actinic community but cannot find a similar problem. I have purged, compacted and done a full refresh (which took 7 hours!!), but to no avail! I have already lost a full days takings and starting to panic. Please please help.

Many thanks in advance.

Try incrementing your script number by 1 in network settings and updating the site.

Seem to have fixed itself. Didn't work five minutes ago but it seems alright now. Thank the Lord for that! Obviously the refresh worked after all.

next time you start a thread can you give it a more descriptive title

Yes Sir!! The title was appropriate at the time I can assure you!

The title was appropriate at the time I can assure youNo it was not - all you are doing by using a stupid title is ruining the forum search for others.

FYI - most regulars do not reply to titles such as you used so you are likely to get less help

Why? Users can search on content, not just titles - hovering over the search result will display the first line which would tell them whether my post was relevant or not!

I would be grateful if you omit to reply to any future posts I may make, I find your attitude entirely negative!

I suggest you read the forum rules which state:

Asking a Question

To ask a new question, click the 'New Thread' button at the top of the list of questions.

When you ask a question, please make sure you give your question a descriptive title e.g. rather than 'Help Me Please' - use something like 'My products stretch too far across the page'. That way, you have a much better chance of catching the eye of one of the regular forum contributors.

because it is common sense (also in the rules as Mal pointed out)

probably Mal will never bother with your posts anymore and with that attitude more than likely none of the forum regulars

Malc is right here, all that happens when you use a title that doesn't describe the technical issue you are having is that you will get ignored.

All you have to do is edit the title of your post. It's no big deal.
