Hi, i am very very new to this so please bear with me. I am trying to run the Network setup wizard but when it comes to inputting my URL it errors saying ''The wizard received and error while verifying the web server. Error sending request''
I've searched though the forum already and am unsure what to do with the advice given to others. I was under the impression that this software would be fairly easy to use but now i feel i'm stuck and what should be the easiest thing to get right!
Thanks,
Rhian

Has your domain been registered and has it propagated?
Otherwise please post your network settings, tell us who you host with and what hosting package you have

Hi, thanks for your reply,
I'm now getting this error when i run the test:
Unable to move to the cgi-bin directory "/user/htdocs/cgi-bin/" on the FTP server.
The specified directory does not exist or you do not have access to the directory.
Sorry! I am useless at this! Any suggestions? I have allowed all permissions too.

Your website is currently giving a 403 forbidden response which means actinic will be unable to verify the url.
If you're new to actinic then I think you probably get 30 days of telephone support from Actinic. Why not give them a call and see if they can help.

I am not familiar with Streamline settings, but have you tried creating the cgi-bin in your webspace first?
I would make sure both of these folders exist, before trying to upload:
yoursurl/acatalog/
yoururl/cgi-bin/

Is there any reason you have a directory /htdocs?
CATALOGURL http://www.girlfrombluecity.co.uk/htdocs/acatalog/
CGIBINURL http://www.girlfrombluecity.co.uk/htdocs/cgi-bin/
If you have just copied this from another posting, I would try this instead:
CATALOGURL http://www.girlfrombluecity.co.uk/acatalog/
CGIBINURL http://www.girlfrombluecity.co.uk/cgi-bin/

hi, thanks for everyone's replies!
Streamline.net automaically create the cgi-bin file in htdocs.
I managed to get it all working by having a blank index.html file uploaded to the htdocs file, not sure if this was something obvious that i should have done in the first place but all the setting's are working fine now.
