Hi,
Has anyone, or does anyone know of anyone who has integrated the Overture Conversion Counter into their Actinic site?

Yes, I have and it seems to be working OK.
The reason I can only say 'seems to be' is that so far it's only logged a single conversion in the month or so it's been up there.
Are you having any problems? or just not seeing any conversions?

Hi Mike,
I havnt tried to integrate it as it looked a little tricky & wanted to get advice & guidance on trying it out.
Can you advise? Although you havnt had a lot of data back I would like to give it a go

I found the integration pretty easy.
All you have to do is take the bit of HTML code they give you and insert it at the bottom of the receipt page (Act_Order04.html).
Then whenever the receipt page is displayed, the conversion counter code gets overture to check whether the browser has the relevant cookie to say he clicked through on one of their ads.
the good thing about putting it on the receipt page is that you know it can't interfere with anything until after the order has been processed.
Let me know if you need any help on this. I'm happy to help out if I can.

Mike,
Thanks for the reply, sounds straight forward - how do I locate the receipt page? is it in the template manager?

Yes, it's in the template manager under 'ordering' and is called 'order phase 4'.
(unless you're using the graphical view and it's then under 'other pages' =>'cart/checkout' =>'receipt')

PS. Google are now offering the same thing and the integration is identical to what I've described for Overture.

Hi Mike,
Yep I've loaded that but dont see the Google Conversion logo on the page - so I guess its not installed properly - I put it below the overture one - possibly it doesnt like that!
However, I'm not that happy about them having a visible image on my checkout page - do find google very big brother ish e.g. they do not allow the advertisment of fireworks not that i sell them - but they wouldnt even allow me to bid on the word
If you put this on can you let me know how you get on
Thanks
