ERROR 'Query too complex' HELP!!

I am using Actinic Catalog Version 4.1.1 with all the relevant updates and patches.

Today after adding some new products to the catalog I tried to upload to my website and got an error while it was checking the list of products 'QUERY TOO COMPLEX'. I clicked OK and it carried on uploading OK.

But now when I try and place an order on my website I get an error 'We are sorry, the combination you selected is out of stock at present'.

When I try and refresh the website I get the same error but I am able to preview it OK.

It seems to be having trouble checking the files.

Anyone got any ideas????

I would try refreshing (complete refresh rather than update) the site first to see if that cures the problem.

If that doesn't work try marking one or two sections for deleting and then uploading, by doing this you should be able to find the problem products - and at least you will have a half working site.

Actually if you watch the uploading products bit carefully you may be able to work out which is the problem section.

The error message suggests that you have broken a database limit, so if you have any sections that are stuffed full of products that would be the first place to look.
