This is a more detailed explaination that the other posting
Ever so recently i dont why but the calculation of our shipping calculator has gone haywire, In the shipping tab we have set it to use ship by zone with it laid out like this
Uk Zone
|
|>Special Delivery
|>Free Post
|>Business Post
|>First Class Post
But when ever i order anything that could be shipped by first class post the default option the site is choosing is business post, and in out business post setting, we have 3 settings
upto 3kg @ £4.65
upto 6Kg @ £4.99
Upto 10Kg @ £5.75
but when we order something will fit into the 6kg bracket only costing 4.99 it wants to charge me £9.30
Can someone help please cause im not sure whats causing this i have even redone the shipping section put all new prices in and everything, refreshed the website, updated the catalog, nothing wants to know

Hi James
Sorry to hear about your problems.
I notice you are requesting location information early, can you see what happens if you disable this?
Go to View | Business settings | Orders and untick request location information early then upload your site.
There is a bug in v5 with request location info early that may be causing the problem.

It still does the same thing its trying the same thing, i added 3 6v 4ah batteries to my cart and its trying to charge me 9.30 carriage and the most expensive carriage we do is 5.75, those 3 batteries come into a lower carriage bracket anyway. Im not sure why its giving me these high carriage prices though or how its coming up with it.

There may be a problem in the database, it is worth copying the original in.
Please create a snapshot of your site before beginning work, then.....
1. Go to File | Export and export shipping tables.
2. Close Actinic, and browse to the shipcontrol folder within Actinic site folder on your hard drive. The path will be something like:
c:\program files\Actinic ecommerce v5\sites\**sitename**\ShipControl
3. Make a backup of SimpleShipping.mdb
4. Locate the ShipControl folder within the Actinic original folder, the path will be something like:
c:\program files\Actinic ecommerce v5\original\ShipControl
5. Copy SimpleShipping.mdb from \original\ShipControl to your site\ShipControl folder.
6. Open Actinic, go to File | Import and import your shipping tables that your exported in point 1. (The file type is hierarchical)
7. Go to View | Business settings | Shipping and Handling and review your shipping tables, make amendments if needed.
8. Upload your site.
Hope this helps.

Hi James.
Whilst you cannot add an actual product to an order, you can add an adjustment.
If you view the line items of an order, you can add the adjustment and provide a description along with the explanation.
Hope this helps
