Hi there
We are about to code another actinic site for a client.
Our salesman in his infinite wisdom has decided that no payment for the site will take place, instead we will receive a percentage of the items sold on the website.

My question is, when the site is deployed onto a third party server, and the client has a pc enabling them to update the site and get orders etc (they will be using actinic business), is there a way we can also see a history of the transactions on the server.

Many thanks
Peter

You can use Business Settings>Ordering and choose to send yourself a copy of all e-mail reciepts.

The client may take this off at some time if they have full access to the software rather than Order Manager.

I have tried this way of working but it was a nightmare as the client hated when he had to keep paying us past our original quote for the completed site.

Hi Gary
Thanks for the quick reply, I am not familiar with order manager, is this an extra plugin for actinic business ?

You can give/sell your client Order Manager then they have the ability to manage orders but not tamper with settings and the the store.

http://www.actinic.co.uk/products/orderman.htm has the details

As well as this you could also ask them to send you a copy of the transactions by referrer report each month as this will give you a total sales for the month figure.
