Hi Guy's, I've found loads of threads about this problem here but no solution

We have a site that has been running on Fasthosts fine (apart from the appalling downtime) so we decided to move to a new host (fantastic service great uptime) we are running serveral Actinics on this host no problem (all using Protx though)

This site checks out through shared SSL ( 4 sure hosting)

When you add the cridit card details and submit we get..

An error occurred at the catalog web site while recording your order. Try again or press "<Back" to select a different payment method or press "Cancel" and contact us with your order details. The error was:
A General Script Error Occurred

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error: Your shopping cart has expired, orders must be completed within 3 hours or they will be automatically cancelled.

Any help would be appreciated, this is a very busy site and the client is going mad..

Site address www.swerve.co.uk

Thanks in advance

you might try

[web: configure expiry periods] and change "delete shopping carts after" to 24 hours.

It works for me. I get taken to the secure payment page with the credit card capture. (not a good idea really, but it does work).

Did you change something?

Mike

We've switched to Actinic inbuilt just to get us by,

on the earlier question, its fine to the card screen, put in a card number, submit, and it falls over??

Also, it seems the server is running GMT not GMT+1, orders are coming down an hour out, same when we were on fasthosts though and there were no errors on that, we also have other Actinics on this host (all using Protx) no problems with them.

Hi,

Have you tried switching back to your shared ssl to see if it works now? It could possibly have been a DNS issue as you have moved hosts.

A miracle, exactly, I'm amazed with a co.uk domain this took so long to propogate, the site behaved perfectly normally, checked out OK, went through to shared SSL then fell over when submitting after credit card details were taken.
Anyone else with this problem after moving hosts, be patient!!!
Thanks Tracey

you should still allow 24 hours for a co.uk to fully propagte, some ISPs will start picking up the new IP after as little as 1/2 hour but other factors such as PSPs may only update their internal DNS once every 24 hours.

I often see NS move very quickly only to have to wait 24/36 hours for thier PSP to catch up.
