Hi,

We have a copy of Actinic developer V6 and we are about to embark on a new project. When we completed our last website we had a problem getting hold of the correct version of the Catalog software for the client.

We have V 6.0.2.0.0.0.CNNA and I was initially sent the DDOA Catalog version and therefore had problems getting the site snapshot onto the clients PC (it tried to run the upgrader with very bad results!)

I was then sent the correct CNNA CD for the client and had no further problems.

Should we upgrade our version of developer before starting a new website or will we always be able to get hold of the corresponding CNNA Catalog version?

Also, if I do upgrade the Developer software will there be a compatability issue with our existing client sites should they require any further work?

I'd be grateful for advice on this subject.

Cheers

You can always download previous versions of the software from http://support.actinic.com/versions when you need them.

But I would say it is worth biting the bullet this once and upgrading both yourself and your clients to 6.1.3. There are a lot of useful fixes - and even a new feature with the ability to add discounts based on order total.
