New site for review / comments

Hi we've just launched a new site - http://www.partiesinabox.co.uk and would welcome your comments.

The site was constructed by an Actinic developer but the design was our idea. N.B. it is a live site.

Looks pretty good. Nice site idea. I alway struggled to find party stuff when the kids were young. Nice use of colour. Just a few points:
- No up-front delivery costs
- the product-name links go back to the main catalogue page. I don't think they should be links at all
- It's spelt Piñata
- I also found this: "We aim to depatch" in the About Us

I agree, nice clean, easy to use site.

couple more comments from me.

1) your New Producs page width http://www.partiesinabox.co.uk/acatalog/New_Products.html (or, the main inner width, anyway) is wider than the rest of the site. So is the Pinata section.

2)The cart total drops below the wording making the blue bar deeper. It needs aligning properly to accommodate the total on the same line really.

I'm not a huge fan of it being designed for 800 resolution (I'm sure someone else will comment on that too...if they bother to comment at al) but it looks good.

Any particular reason why they appear to have Ebay image logos on them though? Don't you have access to the originals?

Nice site. A few comments:
1. I don't like the background image - I think it detracts from the product images.
2. The blue on blue writing such as for New Products is difficult to read.
3. I expected to be able to click on the 'fast delivery' box on the LHS to find out further details.
4. You would be better off using a domain email address rather than a sky one.
5. Spelling mistake on the About Us page - 'depatch'
6. The link on the About US page to the Contact page doesn't work becasue it still has the test script id in the link address.
7. The cart summary on the top bar wraps when it contains any value greater than zero.

FWIW, I did the same as Duncan and expected to be able to click on the 'fast delivery etc' part of the LHS bar too.

If it's instinctive, do it, IMO
