Remove 'store top' or 'up a level'

How do I remove either the 'store top' or 'up a level' buttons?

As I only have one level, both buttons do the same thing so I want to remove one of them...

DESIGN > OPTIONS > NAVIGATION

check the box the says "Omit navaigation link back to top of catalog"
