Hi everyone.
I'm very upset today.
We were No.2 for 'trophies' and No.4 for 'football trophies' on the UK search in google.
Looking at it now, we are No.18 for 'football trophies' and No.107 for 'trophies'!!!!!!!!!!!:confused::(
The keyword 'trophies' is a huge drop and im stumped to why this has happened.
Is there someone out there that might know whats happened?

Paul

P.S. Just to let you know, the only thing i have changed in the last 3 weeks is made some products out of stock.

Could be something Google is doing as I have spotted other sites sliding around the natural listings.

interesting, has anyone else notice SERP changes?
I thought it was a penalty points put against the site, but when i do a search for the company we are No.1

Big algo changes going on at the moment - similar to Big Daddy a few years ago.

.

Well I also got a bit of a shock the other day, when I got my monthy report form my SEO company.

I have had FALL in listing places in google almost across the board.
I have been putting in energy over the last year, watching the places in google rise.

What has happened? I dont know.

well all I can say if your seo company cannot tell you then they are not much good - it been known about for a couple of months now and most people have been working to reduce the effects of the algo change when it came.

Fun choice of name of course. Those who follow 'the blog' may remember this from 2006: http://www.msdewey.com/

The main change really boils down to paid for links - if you check your back links then you will see that they are paid for links which will equal a 30 or 60 rank penalty. Tie this in with your key word stuffing and your on a looser IMO

Obviously not - you could start an SEO company Mark as you obviously know more about it than some companies out there.

They must be leveling out again as my organic results are back to where they were previously :)
