How much can I customise in Catalog?

I have a certain layout in mind, but none of the templates in catalog are similar.

Can I pick the closest one and then move things around manually by editing the templates (eg. move the search box from the left to the top etc) or will I need to get actinic developer (which is waaaay too expensive for what I need)?

Failing that, how much would someone charge to create a template to my design?

Is this possible using just actinic catalog?

I would be happy to do your templates for you for around £150 + vat, i would essentially go through all your templates to achieve consistency overall (you often need to edit many templates in actinic as most are interdependant on each other) and give you access to any of our previously done custom templates you might like to use, fragments in columns, fragments with alt tags, products in colums, 'upsell' product templates, currency converters, email a friend, 2,3,4 or more images for a product, with descriptions, alt tags etc.. we have quite a few little niceties for actinic.

Our theory at harlequin is that you can edit and change your miind as many times as you like before you go 'live' with your changes but once live, the job is considered complete...this means you have a fixed cost to get your site looking exactly as you want it. (please note though, that our quote doesnt include much in the way of graphical design as you have a logo, colour scheme already, we would probably happily do you some nice cart, confirm, checkout buttons though if you like)


also, when we do a job like that, we tend to like to connect up to you when we hand it over and show you how best to use them, we do that with either pc anywhere, telnet, vnc, desktop sharing....all at no cost, and always on a freephone...our customers will tell you this is an invaluable service and quite unique at our level of business...

personally i love nothing better than teach people over a remote connection, just how powerful actinic is and how much control you can have over its output to a browser....
