In my products page i have the price of the item ONLY. I am not putting in the price that includes or excludes the tax.

now,i want to charge tax only to Florida residents. and no one else. so i set it up that way.
problem is: say i put an item in "add to cart" and i say 'Checkout", I see that the tax is already added in the total price. it goes away if the customer selects a different state on the next page. BUT i want it to show up only if the customer selects FLORIDA.
how can it make it NOT SHOW UP before THE STATE is selected???

I tax only in Maryland. I set up a no tax zone with the whole US minus Maryland in it and a Maryland tax zone. No tax shows up until the customer enters that it is being shipped to Maryland.
