Web browser memory usage analysis

Strangley, using Firefox slows down one of my pcs.

Interesting stuff. I notice big improvements in browser rendering speed and much lower memory usage with FF3 over FF2 and especially over IE6 & 7. I'm not a MAC user but I was surprised to hear about the issues with Safari.

FF3 installed on the laptop and that seems to be quicker than FF2

point to note:
the safari tested is the win32 version, not the native mac version. the mac version may be better, due to better memory management on the mac.
