restore again and again

A month later

My hard disc has gone down


I reinstalled software 6.01 and tried to restore-
Problem is my Actinic disc is ver 6.0.1.000 and my backup is version ver 6.0.2.000.

On looking at the actinic site I notice ONLY 6.1 version available to download.

Will I be able to restore my '6.0.2' backup. to '6.1'

Sorry to be a pain but

I notice that versions 6.1.0 6.1.1 6.1.2 have sneaked up and I was feeling great being on 6.0.2.

Do I download each new version seperately ( ie 6.1.0) then put data on and then do next new version ( ie 6.1.1) etc
or
can I go straight to ver 6.1.2 and put my 6.0.2 data on.

Also is there any way to to find out about new updates automatically.

I would suggest that your best bet is to restore the data onto the 6.0.2 version, check it's OK, and then immediately upgrade to the 6.1.2 version :)

I'm a big subscriber to the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" school of thought myself :)
